How To Open A New Bank Account In India?

There are two ways to open a new bank account,

1. First Way: Online Mode (through mobile, computer, laptop or other devices)
2. Second Way: Offline Mode ( by visiting the bank)

Essential/necessary documents to open a bank account:

1. Proof of identity and age: Aadhar card, PAN card, Voter ID card, Passport or Driving licence.
2. Passport size photograph of the person who wants to open a bank.
3. Residential proof: Electricity bill, Driving licence, Passport or Voter ID etc.

FIRST WAY: ONLINE MODE

In online mode you can save your time and you don't need paper work for opening account in online mode.

STEP 1: Go to the official website of bank , in which you want to open your bank account.
STEP 2: Fill the form from your device online. In that form , You have to submit your digital copy of address proof,Age proof, photographes, income proof.
STEP 3: Banks back end team will verify your details, after verification , you will be able to start using your bank account easily. This is the most easiest method to open an account in the bank you wish to open. And the best thing is that you don't need to stand in bank queues.

SECOND WAY: OFFLINE MODE

In this you have to visit the bank to open an account. By visiting the bank branch and completing all the procedures, you can easily open an account and use that. For offline mode you can follow this steps:

STEP 1: Firstly decision about what type of bank account you wish to open, and in which bank you want to open an account.
STEP 2: Then you have to fill the "Bank account opening form". In this form , you have to fill the required details regarding your name, occupation, address, identity proof , age , photographs, etc. This details must be filled carefully. Then at Last you have to sign on the form. If you are opening joint account, form must be signed jointly with date.
STEP 3: After filling the form, now you can submit that form to the bank, with attachment of necessary documents. And Agree to the terms and conditions of the bank.
STEP 4: Filled form and documents will be verified by bank officer and then give approval to open an account.

After your request is approved, the Bank officer will issue your bank account number, pass book, debit card and all other details.

Now you can use your bank account easily in your day to day life.
